conference and special events' management, and association management services, to
Pennsylvania-based and national clients.
Susan D. Shermer, CMP
Ms. Shermer is an independent meeting planner and the President of Shermer &
Associates, Ltd. As a CMP *(Certified Meeting Professional), she is the main contact for
clients. Susan has been a meeting planner since 1985. From 1985 to 1991, she was the
Deputy Director and Training and Education Director for a national health care providers
association in Washington, DC. As such, Susan was responsible for all accredited medical
education programs, and all promotional and educational materials produced both for
members and the general public.
Ms. Shermer is a member of the Hershey Capital Region Visitors Bureau.
She also belongs to Meeting Professionals International, and its special interest group
for independent meeting professionals, and is a member of the American Society
of Association Executives.
* The CMP is a program of the Convention Liaison Council and
is endorsed by 26 industry organizations. Candidates must pass a qualification
process which requires certain levels of experience, training, and employment before
applicants are permitted to sit for an exam measuring competency.
